Venus finds out that marriage would be out of the question and holds back on sending a photo that explains why.

My Dear Martins,

I contacted the Nigerian Consulate and everything is going really well and I should get the visa very soon.

But most sadly they said that under Nigerian law I would not be allowed to marry you.

Why is this? Can you explain it?

The money is giving me no end of trouble at present. I have been asked to go to see the bank manager tomorrow for some reason.
